The good thing about being able to improvise for survival is that almost everywhere there are materials to improvise with!

One material that is present in almost every home and building is PVC piping.

Just about every building constructed or that has had plumbing work in the last 20 years has at least some PVC piping under sinks or as drainage conduits and in some cases, it comprises the entire plumbing system!

You have to remove it properly and you should sanitize it to the best of your ability, but in a survival situation, PVC is a material with literally dozens of potential survival applications, beyond just serving as piping.
