Any survivalist knows the importance of water to making it through a survival situation in one piece.
Depending on the environmental conditions, the average person can survive about three days without water. After that, the time they can survive is reduced to hours and with each passing hour, the crippling effect on the body becomes exponential.
Finding water is one thing, but purifying it is another.
While in a SHTF moment, where water intake is critical, purification is not the number one priority, in any other survival situation, purifying your water (in addition to filtering it) has to be at the top of your list.
Water that is not purified can infect you with bacteria, viruses and parasites.
The video on the next page shows you a very simple, but effective way to use fire and rocks to purify your water source.
Why wouldn’t you just boil the water for 20 mins?
