In any situation insect bites are annoying.

In a survival situation, they can be deadly, which is why you have to take precautions before you get bitten.

Insects can cause an array of sickness, including Lyme Disease, malaria and varying degrees of allergic reaction. Your survival kit should have at least a few insect repellents to ward off those you can.
