(Video) Prepping With Pets: How to Prepare Fido for SHTF

Prepping with pets doesn’t have to be chaotic. If it’s considered early and you take some steps, making Fido comfortable during the hardest of days, the grid going down might not be so hard!

And remember, it’s always a great idea to have your pooch up to date on vaccinations, worming, and flea and tick protection! He is, after all, another member of the family and – if you are wise – your own human family is up to date medically as well!

Rover may not be the easiest member of the family to prepare for during a SHTF situation but he’s just as precious!

People often do not consider their pets. I believe most will simply abandon their pets as liabilities or requiring resources over their families. I understand that. But pets are part my family and I intend to keep them with me. They really don’t require that much and they help more than they hurt or require.
