Jungle survival is one of the most difficult forms of survival, despite the vast resources at your disposal. Not being able to recognize these resources or the dangers inherent in the jungle is what does most people in. Sickness can set in very quickly and be extremely debilitating if you get something wrong.

That's why it's important to build up your knowledge well in advance in any way possible, although it's preferable to learn it from an organized course like this Marine field training.

    spent a week jungle training pretty cool, drank water from a vine, chopped up end of a branch to a pulp like state for soap to wash with, a few kind of plants for basic cures for head ach, burns.,tooth ach ect, made pressure cooker to cook wild rice out of bamboo,our jungle guide was also general MacArthurs guide in ww2, I was impressed when we got to his jungle camp,,he had pictures of himself and MacArthur, the guide had trained dogs for patrol to keep snakes away while we was training, never seen one snake of any kind, which is ok by me,,lol
