There are a lot of difficulties with jungle survival, not the least of which are the problems with finding food, avoiding the plethora of hidden dangers, and building fires.

In the humid environment, the body can give out much more quickly due to dehydration and hunger, due to the extreme stress of the climate on the body. The only way to survive in environments like this is to receive extensive training from an experienced expert.

Even the advanced fighters in the Marines must receive extensive training to make it in these trying conditions. One lesson they learn is how to set up, and recognize, a primitive booby trap that could pin a man to a tree.

    spent a week jungle training pretty cool, drank water from a vine, chopped up end of a branch to a pulp like state for soap to wash with, a few kind of plants for basic cures for head ach, burns.,tooth ach ect, made pressure cooker to cook wild rice out of bamboo,our jungle guide was also general MacArthurs guide in ww2, I was impressed when we got to his jungle camp,,he had pictures of himself and MacArthur, the guide had trained dogs for patrol to keep snakes away while we was training, never seen one snake of any kind, which is ok by me,,lol
