What you need is purified water to be “supercooled”. Water typically freezes at 32°F (0°C), but purified water requires a temperature of -43.6°F (-42°C) for freezing to occur.
Purified water lacks the organic particles that assist with crystallization, and so it ends up being “supercooled” at regular freezing temperatures. Most freezers don't get cold enough for purified water to be anything more than cold water!

3 hrs 10 mins in the freezer doesn’t instantly turn water into ice it does it in 3 hrs and 10 mins. But it is a pretty neat reaction when agitated. We’ve done this hundreds of times.

If you have a camping spot or even a place in your yard a goofy but cool use for a old fridge or freezer
Open the door of one punch holes through the back
Lol I usually shot holes through it
Dig a small hole where you want it lay it in it door up and use as a ice chest
I use to have 3 around the fire pit !
The insulate pretty well
Also imagine with some insulation it would work as a decent cool room

Had this happen in Alaska….left a case if water in the back of our highlander and the next morning I grabbed one out of the center and bumped it and it instantly froze…

I used to work outside in the northern ohio winter. It was January and the regular temp outside was about -30 degrees. This was at night. I had a regular bottle of Aquafina water sitting on a window ledge. It sat for about 3 hours. When I picked it up it was still liquid. But as soon as I opened the lid it did the exact thing as on the video.

Ya makes perfect sense. Leave it in the freezer for THREE HOURS and TEN MINUTES…….and you get to call that one second freezing. Must be that new math everyone is talking about !
I’ve seen a similar thing done with beer as a party trick. Bit pointless really, might as well let it freeze properly if you already have to leave it in the freezer that long.
