(VIDEO) Need Cold Water for a Hike? You Can Learn How to Freeze Water in Seconds!

frozen water

Looking to go for a hike or bug out on a hot day? Well, you need some refreshing water to add to your supplies. This quick trick will turn your bottle of water into ice instantly! That way you can put it in your backpack, head out on the trail, and it will still be cold by the time you need it.

What you need is purified water to be “supercooled”. Water typically freezes at 32°F (0°C), but purified water requires a temperature of -43.6°F (-42°C) for freezing to occur.

Purified water lacks the organic particles that assist with crystallization, and so it ends up being “supercooled” at regular freezing temperatures. Most freezers don't get cold enough for purified water to be anything more than cold water!

So, how do you turn this supercooled water into ice? Take a look at the video on the next page to see how it works!

Absolutely useless, it is just timing the freezing process to a certain point and tapping it to make it fill with ice crystals, still takes hours in freezer to chill useless waste of click bait.

Freeze one of those bottles. Then defrost it. Give it a good shake and hold it up into the light. You will never freeze in those cheap bottles again. Don’t give these to kids
