Whenever we hear of “shark” we immediately think of the Great White, the one made infamous in Jaws. That is the shark that pretty much tore through people with the ease of a hot knife through butter.

No, that is not exactly the best image to go through your mind when seeing something big and quite shark-like coming at you in the water!

However, if it is a Whale Shark you will find yourself moderately safe, as it turns out! They are a rare breed, their fins a fine delicacy in some cuisines.

This is a sad, though, considering these gentle animals are not in the least vicious, preferring to swim along the side skin divers, rather than having them for lunch!
