(Video) Man Dug Up His Bug-Out Cache After it Was Buried for a Year. Let’s See What Happened to His Supplies!

While we may not all have land we can bury barrels in, some of the lands we travel on belonging to other people, it is nice to see how a small barrel of provisions might do in an arid environment year round. Will some of it spoil? Get wet? Freeze?

It will be very interesting to see if, in three years, Coyote Woks’ provisions maintain their purity. We would like to think so but, we just can’t help thinking that the water, at least, might evaporate – even if just a little. Still, this experiment was interesting and, as he said, quite successful. It probably has everything to do with the arid environment. If it had been a moist area he might have had a problem!

But again, it is the fact that he experimented that made us happy. It’s something all preppers have to do at one time or another. If you do not fail. You cannot learn!

For a supplemental food cache, this was a good experiment. I wonder if he put some medication in there how that would turn out. Vitamins, antibiotics, etc..
