[VIDEO] Make This Self Watering Bucket For Under $7

One way I have eliminated the weeding issue is to use these incredible self-watering buckets for all but my leaf and root vegetables – i.e. – I use this system to grow tomatoes, peas, string beans, etc.

By using these incredible self-watering buckets, I have cut my weeding time by about 75% and it now takes about a half hour to water my entire garden.

There are ways to make these incredible self-watering bucket even less expensively.

I used old drywall mud buckets and unused PVC pipe we had in our barn – you can get both at most construction sites – just make sure you ask first and spend the time to scour the buckets so they are clean.

Another tip: This year I lined my tops with garden weed control fabric, which has completely eliminated the need for weeding.

Do you have ideas on how to make this project even better or less expensively?

If so, leave a comment below.
