A Monkey Fist is a survival tool that has a lot of different types of uses – as a weight on a line, weapon, even as an “anchor” in rock climbing.

In a survival situation, it can be a very useful weapon for small game such as squirrels or birds.

It also is relatively quiet in terms of weapons you could use in a survival situation.

Making one is quick and easy, especially if you use paracord and a jig set-up to get yourself started.

One note: Monkey Fists are illegal in some states and in some states conceal carry laws apply (if you have yours in a concealed location on your person,) so make sure you check with your local laws before you make, have on your person or use this type of Monkey Fist.
