It is called “luxury survival” and while it is much more comfortable than the bomb shelters of fifty or more years ago, it is still a confining shelter!
We are reminded of a television show of the 1970s called Space: 1999. In this sci-fi show, the moon breaks free of Earth orbit and the people living on Moonbase Alpha are self-sufficient, growing their own food and maintaining an environment until they can come out and find a new home.
For the men and women of Alpha, their new home would be a new Earth-like planet but for the elite in Indiana, it would be an after doomsday livable Earth!
Who knows how long that might be after the bombs have exploded, right?
We make this comparison because like the people in Space: 1999, the elite shelters will be filled with men and women who can advance mankind like doctors and engineers, humankind who can build and manage a new world! The fact that it costs a great deal to get into one of these elite shelters may be an indicator of how good the professional has to be at their job!
