If you are like most survivalists, chances are you have a healthy stock of food, medical supplies, tools, equipment, firearms and ammunition.
At some point, however, your food, medical supplies and ammunition will run out.
While bartering for food and medical supplies might be an option, ammunition will come at a premium because it is a limited resource – you can even make your own, but eventually, you have to come up with a source of gun powder.
If the survival situation is long enough, you may be forced to get innovative in how you make your ammunition and more specifically, the gun powder to power it.
The two videos on the next page shows several ways you can get some of the ingredients you will need to make your own gun powder (the first video is “proof-of-concept,” but still worth watching to get a handle on the chemistry.
