Bro, just cut the end off your charger and put Roach clips on it and connect directly to a 6 volt battery for android and a 9 volt for Apple.

Dollar tree has them for, well, a buck. Been using mine for a couple years now. Even put a solar panel on one.

Any real survivalist will tell you that if the s*** hits the fan there probably won’t be Electronics around for very long anyways Plus it would be a waste of valuable space for something you may really need

If you can keep it charged, you have a clock, flashlight, books (survival, medical, pleasure, how to), games (to pass boredom), compass, music, camera (to help return a place to as you find it if you want to minimize tracks), maps (while GPS may not work, it could still be useful to know what’s around if you can determine where you are). And anything else digital that could be of use.

I’ve turned an old iPhone 4s into a survival tool as well as an exercise tool (I listen to audio books when I walk). I’ve got various books and other digital tools on it and the battery lasts pretty long when you turn off the wifi and cellular aspects, as well as turning it off when not in use (like overnight).

All you need to do is think and use your imagination, things a lot of people no longer use because they rely on “being connected” and don’t think of what happens when they get “disconnected.” A cell phone can be very useful, if you think about it.

Agree. The gov will have other things to worry about for as long as they care, then they won’t care and you’ve just thrown away a potentially useful tool.

Depends on why you bugged out.
Even with no sim(whuch you cant remive from an iphone)
Gps and 911 location service is always active.

Their are many things other than a cell phone that may come in handy when things really do go to crap. If anything the music on the phone to keep your sanity is one big thing. That being said. It would be easier to dismantle a car charger and buy a bunch of small 12v batteries they come in many sizes not restricted to car size. Most of which are smaller than 2 AA or AAA. they are also usually rated to last much longer. As the average 1.5V might charge your phone once over. The average 12 could probably do it several times. Then I also must add. THEY ALREADY MAKE THESE

Also keep in mind many smart phones now have apps that work as a monitor and alarm. While it won’t be able to call another phone like many allow. It can make a hell of a lot of noice. They can even be set to listen for a setting level of noice and go off when noice level reach that.

Apples charge on a 5v system. Hooking a 9v directly to it would ensure you deffinetly do not have a device for long. My understanding of computers tells me that 99.9% of things that run off Usb operate on 5V

Small minds on this feed. When shtf you won’t need a phone. What if it is storing 20 gigs of survival tips and you need to keep it running or have a way to do so?
Keep thinking small though, shtf you’ll die first and make it a bit less competitive for food.
