Being able to make your own arrows in a survival situation is a skill that could really come in handy. You need to eat and that means in many cases, hunting your own food.

You also may have to protect yourself. Using a firearm, while effective, might not be practical or even wise – especially if it is a SHTF scenario- as it gives you away as being armed. With ammunition, no matter how much you have, eventually it runs out or can be put to better use as a bartering item.

Purchased arrows, however, can be expensive and they can get lost, break or even over time warp. If you can make your own, including the fletching, you put yourself ahead of the game.
