Being able to re-purpose old tools and turn them into new tools gives every survivalist an edge over those who lack that ability. Use it to your advantage!

Today we're focusing on an old hand file which is annealed and then grounded to make a neck-knife.

Being able to make a knife or other multi functional tools/weapons from used up tools not only saves money, but it's a useful skill to have if for no other reason than being able to make something to barter with during a longer-term survival situation.

It also gives you the opportunity to customize your knife to suit your own needs as opposed to having to buy one that is pre-made and formed.

If you have a bunch of old hand files hanging around your workshop, you could even make several of these and keep them aside for bartering if the need arises.
