Candles are essential for any survivalist that doesn't want to be dependent on a battery-powered light source. But if you’re in your bug out cabin and short on candles, you can actually use household items to create a water candle.

This candle is different because it doesn’t look like any regular boring old wax candle. It looks like a flame floating directly on water!

All you need for this project is the following items: glass, a piece of plastic, a pair of scissors, some cooking oil, and a wick. All of which you probably have somewhere in your supply! The plus side to this candle is that it ends up looking pretty awesome and unique.
