    A less laborious perimeter alarm is implementing plastic bottles. Basically make a loop to hold the bottle between points. Any tension on the wire will crush the bottle.

    I prefer the tap and shell method with shotgun shells personally. Or my sound grenades (great for camping in the Appalachian’s or areas full of predators)
