In a world where an awful lot of the stuff we use on a daily basis seems cheap, flimsy, throw-away and fragile, it is always a joy (at least for me) to see someone who knows how to make something ply their craft.

This video is that – a very knowledgeable and skilled person makes a long-bow from scratch and it serves as both instructive as well as therapeutic!

Making your own long-bow, unless you already know how to do it, is probably a stretch for most of us – I can recondition a fishing rod, but that is about it!

Watching this amazing craftsman make his long-bow, basically from raw components is oddly soothing as well as shows how to go about making a long-bow – whether it is as sophisticated as this one or much simpler.
