If you have a drill, a couple of cans, a file, and the ambition to make a sincerely effective wood gas stove, this is the perfect project for you! What’s nice is, for the most part, all supplies are on hand and the stove is compact enough to stick in your backpack!
We are all for building a campfire the old fashion way; stones, sticks, and a BIC© but, as survivors, it’s always good to experiment.

Except that’s not a wood gas stove. Wood gas is produced by “cooking” wood in a sealed container and using the gas it produces to run engines or as an actual cooking method. This is simply making a container for making a standard fire for cooking.
