We bet you are one of those preppers or homesteaders that had acquired some new welding equipment and thought, when you initially got it, you would be using the tool often.

But in reality, you haven’t been working with it as much as you wanted. After the grid goes down it may really come in handy but for now, it just sort of sits around, waiting to be used. Well, have we got a project for you!

Car rims are fairly easy to come by. You can find them cheap at yard sales and flea markets. You may even have a few sitting around in your garage collecting dust. Now, you can make an awesome wood stove cooker from them!

If you do not want to go to the trouble of building a backyard grill or purchasing an expensive BBQ grill from your local Home Depot© and you are industrious to take a day and weld away, you are in business!

After the break go to the next page and watch a diligent gentleman as he builds his cooker out of rims then parties afterward with some bacon, scotch and with his faithful cat, Raggles!

Be careful and make sure the rims are stripped to bare metal as any coating may contain hazardous fumes when heated by the fire inside.
