You’re far away from the nearest town, and your friend needs medical assistance immediately. He’s lying on the ground with a large gash open on his upper arm. You’re away from your main supplies, and all you have in your bag is a sweater and a coiled up rope.

That should work for a tourniquet, except you left your knife back at camp. Cursing your stupidity for a moment, you take out the sweater and wrap it around your friend’s bleeding arm.

The rope is far too long to use as a successful tourniquet, and it’s too thick to use a rock to cut it. You're running out of time! What to do?
