Generally, there are no gray areas when it comes to how people feel about bats; very few people are ambivalent and most either love them or hate them.

For the haters, there is little anyone can say to make them love the flying furballs and for those who love them, there is very little anyone can say to dissuade their adoration.

Bats are — love or lump them — a vital part of most environments.

Each bat eats between 2,000 to 5,000 insects every night, which over the course of a Spring, Summer and Fall, equals to almost a million insects per animal.

That is why if you are a homesteader or survivalist and have the room, you may want to consider making Bat Houses.
