Not everyone thinks about what the best course of action would be if a vehicle gets stuck in the mud during a SHTF situation, but it's something that should be considered.

If you do find that your vehicle is trapped in the mud during a collapse, it's hard to know what steps to take next. Luckily by utilizing a few natural resources around you and finding some rope from your bug out bag, you should be able to get yourself out of this mess.

A method that people commonly use is called the flip-flop winch, which is an innovative device that can assist with removing large items that are stuck.

Mors Kochanski, who some considered to be the “Godfather of Bushcraft,” contributed to making this design popular through the years. There is also evidence that this device was used during World World II to help get stuck vehicles out of trenches.

Whether you're living off the grid or trying to get away from an impending disaster and something big gets stuck in your path, or your car gets stuck, a flip-flop winch may be the answer to your prayers.
