Every prepper worth his salt usually has heard of the trick with the 9-volt battery and the steel wool that's used to start a fire. This hack is such a staple that many campers and survivalists keep a 9 volt and some steel wool in their bug out bags because you can depend on it.
However, the 9-volt battery can be used beyond just a fire starting tool (besides the obvious uses this battery provides for 9-volt electronics). With a little bit of MacGyvering, you can use a 9-volt to power a lot more electronics as well.
All you'll need is a 9-volt battery, wire cutters, aluminum foil, and you'll be able to utilize the power of the 9-volt to power up and use any device you want for bugging out and beyond.
On the next page check out this incredible trick — you'll be dying to try it yourself!

video is false 9 volts do not have separate cells in them it would make them cost to much and would cut down on charge capicity.
In place of foil..just stretch the spring insread, sheesh

Caloidal Silver – process kills 99% pathogens/microbes in purified demineralized water… and when ingested.
Although not recommended for regular use, this ancient-modern elixir can be made with a 99.9 Silver piece and a 9volt battery. It IS proven to boost the immune system by promoting good bacteria and killing the bad. A survivalist way to recover from ingestion of impure water in less time, with less symptoms.
Many YouTube videos teach how to produce this ‘miracle liquid’ with a water filter, 9volt battery and agnet of pure silver.
Ian Munro this is the other page i was sayin u should check out
Dumb…. carry a lighter instead. Then you wont need to carry a battery, wire cutters or aluminum foil…..
Bull$#%&!@*!!

B.S. 9 volt batteries are not made like that. It would be very inefficient to make small tubular batteries then put them inside another case. The cells in a nine volt battery are rectangular and are stacked.
Idea…not hack
Dykes ,it short for DIAGINAL CUTTERS
Of course you could always just carry a lighter.
Why not put ten bics in your bug out bag?
buy a dozen disposable lighters and you can start fires for the next 50 years
Pretty much any battery is a multiple of 1.5 volts you can do this with any battery 3.0 volts and up
One…?
Not true!!!
Ronald Howard pretty much true, definitely true with rechargeable batteries
This is BS. FAKE!!!!!
Love it! What a brilliant thing to know!
Not.. I’ve started fires with an AA battery and a sliver of tinfoil.
Albeit, was much easier being that I had my flask 😉
Why not just stock up on triple A batteries?
Guess it’s not B.S.
Wow
Jamaine Burcke
You can do the same with those big square flashlight batteries, and you get a bunch of full size AA batteries
No there is not. This is full of$#%&!@*
Why not take a lighter or matches
Thanks! Good to know. Any other ideas?
