(Video) He Shows Us an Effective and Incredible Way of Removing a Tree Stump:

stump and drill

It's not a job we want to do but its got to get done! Go check out this effective and really incredible way of removing a tree stump!

Our Grandfather had a great solution when it came to tree stumps. Leave them and create art around them! You have no idea how many birds benefitted with the “birdbaths on a stump” in his backyard!

While that is one way to paint over the problem, the rest of us simply want the things removed and we appreciate the tips and example our host gave us in this video. The next time we find a friend with a stump problem we will definitely assist by showing him or her this video!

I would have gone with dynamite. Or hire Sasquatch to pull it out.

Burning the stump has the advantage of leaving the roots on place, with is nice if your place is on a hillside with thin soils, no erosion.

Clever idea for stump removal. As long as it does not start underground root fires that can travel some distance.

But this plan B also works the same way but in milliseconds. Plus it it is way cooler.

Remember the old military saying: “all problems can be resolved with the proper usage of explosives.”

Two 1 pound cans of Tannerite will blow that stump in to dust.

Probably easier to fence in some hogs and let them dig it out than to get permits to burn it. Faster too, if you take into account how many years that stump dried out before burning.

With that, remove stump and make root cellar at same time…

Backhoe works a treat if you want the roots gone as well. Dig roots loose on both sides of the stump and then loosen and scoop up the stump.

Perfect idea…possibly 6 holes spread around..as you drill center possibly spread some of those outward..with diesel help burn..good thinking..

I’d need a burn permit and I have six stumps to get rid of , damn bark beetles .

I just dig about a foot down around the stump and the roots that might be at ground level. Then put a old chain on my chainsaw, and cut it out. Fill the soil back over, and the stump just rots.
