(VIDEO) He Made Cordage From This Common Household Item. When He Shows You How? What a Useful Skill!

plastic bottle and cordage

In a survival situation, it pays to be creative. You may have to be able to look at everyday items you have on you, or materials that are in your immediate surroundings – sticks, tree bark, grass, etc. – and see the huge potential.

With some outside the box thinking, a piece of foil and an old cereal box becomes a solar microwave. When stranded, a needle and a leaf can become a compass. On a dark night, an empty soda can become a candle holder or a torch. A bar of chocolate and an empty soda can and help start your campfire.

See what I mean? The possibilities are endless!

Plastic bottles are no exception. If SHTF and you’re in need of some cordage, you can actually make your own.

Take a look at the video on the next page to learn how to use cordage to your advantage when SHTF!

I’m guessing the cordage is not strong enough to be used as fishing line, but it would probably work to tie arrow heads onto an arrow shaft

Parachute cord is too cheap to end up cutting a plastic soda bottle up
