Establishing a bug out cabin for the hard times has been a staple for many preppers and survivalists for several decades. Luckily, there have been very few times in our country's history which have required the use of bug out locations. This means that quite a few of the established bug out cabins have been abandoned in the woods forever.

Stumbling upon one of these abandoned cabins can be a pretty creepy experience as it will look as if the inhabitants have just disappeared from the face of the earth.

Eventually, they will disappear in the ground and no one will remember the hard times that led to their being built.
