When creating an emergency survival kit, it may be tempting to think that you need to shell out lots of cash and make a kit with all the bells and whistles. However, as this video proves, even just $10 is plenty to build a kit that will get you through a crisis situation.

In this video from Wranglerstar, we see one version of the $10 dollar store emergency kit challenge that many survivalist bloggers and vloggers have been taking.

The challenge has a few basic, but very strict rules. You have to use it to build a fire, build a rudimentary shelter, it has to be waterproof, meaning that it can be submerged in water for a minimum of 60 seconds without getting wet. Plus, it must provide two meals.

Wow! That's a tall order for no more than $10, not to mention you can only use what you find at the dollar store. That means no going to your favorite hardware store or ordering from expensive survivalist catalogs. Is that even possible?
