What is better than shooting guns? Making one yourself!
It quite exhilarating firing a gun, especially when you're out on the range with a couple of buddies. Imagine how much of a hot shot you'd be if you showed up to the range to shoot a gun you made yourself.
If you didn't go to engineering or welding school, you might think that you're supremely under-qualified to manufacture a firearm, I'm here to tell you, you're wrong.

It would be better to work out how to Build a Black powder shooter instead.. as it will be easier to make Gunpowder & your own shot… than trying to find ammunition.

Best thing would be to buy guns, ammo, and spare parts now and you’ll have what you need post collapse. Last thing you w ant to be doing when shtf is trying to build a gun from scratch. I can only see articles like these being handy if you live in a gun free area. Even then I would already have guns.
Jonathan it depends on the Country you live in & how that country’s Firearms laws are set.. I live in Australia which has some very strict gun control laws.. Hell you even need a License to own an Air Rifle/Slug Gun… You have to have a GunLicense to even be able to buy Ammo.. Then you also have to have a secure Place to lock your Guns in & a seperate safe place to lock the Ammo in..
I can legally own a Bow without needing a License & I own 3 bows.. I learnt how to make blackpowder Muzzleloading shooters & Powder years ago… I was taught by a friends Grandfather who was a Gunsmith & Blackpowder shooter…
I would stock up on arrows, powder, etc. You need to machine this .22. Then you got to have ammo. Doesn’t help you at all. They say if you lose your gun this will come in handy. Only if you can machine it. A person could just have spare guns if they have time to come back to the shop and make this.
I also couldn’t see this being accurate without rifling the barrel. Powder gun would be just at good and give more options in your case.
Oh I have plenty of Powder & shot/Ammo stored for Blackpowder shooting.. well i do have about 6 Blackpowder canons stored/cached at certain locations.. Ranging in size from 2lbs to 6lbs & have plans to build a few more plus several more Blackpowder Muzzleloader Caliber guns & Pistols.. All that stuff is Cached for now.
Lol if my local PD investigated everyone interested in building or owning guns, they would be very busy.

What’s wrong with a zip gun when shtf? Besides not having ammo. Car antenna and lockworks from a screendoor.
It is actually not against the law to manufacture a firearm for personal use as long as that firearm does not violate any laws.
For example, you cannot make machine guns, “sawed off shotgun” etc.
You can make shotguns, rifles, handguns as long as they comply with the rules 18″ barrel for shotguns, 16″ barrel for rifles and rifles/shotguns must be at least 26″ long overall length including the legal length barrel.
Handguns must not have a bore greater than 0.499″ groove to groove in the rifling. Also, they need to have a rifles barrel.
