Whether it is a huge underground facility, manned by many, or four walls with you and your family and friends, there are many things to consider. Forethought does not only have to do with food and connecting to the world outside once you are inside.

Are the people with you all mentally sound? Will on-going underground living have a diverse effect on them? Have you prepared entertainment, night and day scenarios, and regular schedule for various jobs? What about entertainment? Do you have a clear-cut plan for the future, if there should come a time to leave, as well as bunker living?

After the break visit the next page and watch this intriguing and very important video that talks about all of the above from a psychological POV.

You may not think it is necessary but view it anyway. It may make you consider important aspects of your bunkered life that you never thought of before.

Looks like a Rising S bunker. Good bunkers but if fallout a concern would reccomend a 90 degree turn on exit tunnel besides the one to surface. Rising S can order all sorts of custom designs and thus be able to address many of the concerns a person may have for living underground.

Monolithic is a good group as well. They specialize in reinforced concrete dome construction. Which can be easily adopted for underground. A lot of their work is for homes for primary residences which some opt to be built underground. Thus offering all the comforts of home inside an underground “bunker”.
