We're not talking about temporary shelters made from everyday items either, we're talking about structures made from wood.

That's why we are sharing a cool video from Metaspencer, where he shows us how to build a small wood shelter from scratch.

This video shows the step-by-step process of building a wood shelter complete with a foundation and roof. It's the kind of structure you can build anywhere there is a flat ground, but you will need to keep the platform raised from the ground with a flat rock or two on each corner.

    Yes, but living off the grid ( survival) is making use of what is available. It is not the easiest thing to do always. Making your own shakes for a roof. Building walls with what you can to get out of the elements. Finding the right material for a floor or walk way for safety year round. How to prepare or get clean water. Shelter is a main concern. You never know what you can do till you are there.
