This guy has taken “living off grid” to a new level; he literally lives underground!

While most of us have taken various steps to be more self-sufficient and less dependent on “grid lifestyle,” this guy has built an entire “homestead” with multiple rooms, storage areas and living spaces, mostly underground.

While he does have underground electricity and an individual power generation source so he can work as a writer, the rest is pretty much entirely self-sufficient.

On the homestead, he has a very small, but cozy living space, outhouse, showering quarters with electricity, summer camp area, several underground storage rooms, a dock on a river and a pond system that provides him with clean water.

The video on the next page does not make clear why he is living this way and he does not say, but his spread will provide anyone thinking of moving to a more self-sufficient posture with plenty of ideas.
