Cattail, or Typha, is a genus of 30 different species of monocotyledonous of flowering plants that live primarily in marshy, damp areas.

Decent tasting, Cattail is a vitamin, fiber and mineral-rich source of food.

Virtually the entire plant is edible, and each part is a very nutritious food, whether you eat it raw, pickle or cook the plant.

It is also very easy to harvest and exists in just about every environment on the planet; you can even find cattails in some arid zones in marshy areas.
