As most survivalists know, a knife is one of the most versatile survival tools in existence. In fact, you can never have too many or too many different types of knife.

Knives can also be made out of just about anything (as corrections officers in prison find out virtually every day). In this video, the creator uses old drill bits to fashion different sized carving knives.

With a little innovation, it is easy to see how this idea could be translated into a survival tool. The video also shows how to create the tools from scratch to make this type of knife. It is so easy, even an amateur blacksmith or someone with no smithing experience at all could make it.
