Deciding to create your own homestead is a monumental decision for most people.

It takes a lot of planning beforehand, reliance on prior experiences (in person, on the internet, in magazines) and a ton of both flexibility and resilience.

Part of the planning process includes collecting as many tools, materials, and supplies as you can store and will need as you begin your homesteading adventure.

Of the tools, there are several that you will need no matter if you choose to homestead on the Alaskan Tundra or in a jungle in South America and everywhere in between.

A hammer is a good example – you will use it no matter where you are and use it just about every day for years.

To see other indispensable tools that you will use no matter where you homestead, check out the video on the next page.
