Many survivalists and homesteaders like being able to live off the grid and being as self-sufficient as possible. They get joy out of building their own homes, their own gardens and not having to rely on the government for help. It is something that many people take pride in.
However, new laws are making living off the grid and not needing much of anything if anything at all from the government more challenging.
So what does this mean for you? It means that survivalists and homesteaders should pay close attention to the news and be aware of any changes that are happening. That way you can keep you and your family as safe as possible and live off the grid as peacefully as possible.

Well as a idea to keep your self out of trouble just hook up and run a refrigerator and freezer and leave at that. You can still be off grid yet be hooked to it.

Amish do it and still maintain A off grid lifestyle think about your thoughts unless everyone in that area that wants to live off grid and keep that lifestyle don’t ban together and just claim something as religious freedom from modern convince then there is no damm use of complaining about the laws that are being made.

Here think of this, you live off grid but get a medical condition that requires use of a machine that runs on electric, no you have solar but as u should know there gonna be times that it won’t charge enough. A generator running all night isn’t very cost effective if your trying to live a sustainable lifestyle. So know would it be dumb to use the grid for just the nessisty?
It’s all about tax revenue. If you aren’t on grid, you are being charged taxes on the utilities, and the government hates not being able to extort taxes from you at every turn.

They demand to be in your home one way or another

I see nothing wrong with inspections to code for safety reasons but it should stop there. Greedy monopolies that want to stay in your pocket and pull more $$ out.

Should there not be an organization representing Off Grid lifestyle on private property?
Off Grid specifically defines being off the electrical grid. I understand being connected for emergency purpose but that isn’t off grid.
Well half the people in this group are on grid, but preaching about off grid.
