Our “first aid kit” is actually a closet that is stocked full of first aid items, from top to bottom – pretty much if it's needed, it is in there.

If faced with a survival scenario, that closet (and other smaller first aid kits) can address just about any normal injury or sickness imaginable.

There are always new ideas and suggestions, though, for what should go in a first aid kit and some of them are not necessarily intuitive.

For example, everyone knows you need to have bandages in a first aid kit, but do you know the benefits of storing some chicken bullion in your kit?

I had never thought about it either – chicken bullion belongs in the kitchen!
