Two Knots Every Survivalist Should Learn And Memorize

One area of survival that often is neglected is how to tie secure knots. We tie some sort of knot just about everyday, or at least several days a week, but often the knots we tie are inconsequential as it pertains to them being secure

Your shoe laces, for example, if they become untied, despite your mother's warnings, will probably not result in your breaking a leg or poking out an eye.

In a survival situation, however, a poorly tied knot can at best be an inconvenience (you lose gear or equipment as the knot gives way.)

Or it can even be a matter of your well-being (the knot on the tow rope taking you back to marina in a storm gives way or the knot holding you to the side of a cliff gives way.)

On the next page, we show you two, easy to learn knots that you can be sure if done correctly, will remain secure.
