This Family Manages 6,000 LBS in Organic Food EACH Month!

Whether you were blessed with a green thumb or simply know someone who is, we can bet that you or someone you know has a garden. Maybe you grow some herbs in it or even a few tomatoes. If you're lucky, you inherited a home with a fruit tree. What I wouldn't give to have a lemon tree in my backyard, I tell ya. But these are all typical, small scale gardens. Today we discovered the Dervae's family. And basically they've put us ALL to shame. Each month, their garden (Urban Homestead, located in Pasadena, California) produces over 6,000 pounds of organic food!

And here I was feeling proud about my topsy turvy tomatoes.

Now, I realize I will probably never have a garden quite as large and extensive as the Dervae's family. But what I found inspiring about them was they started small and over time developed this grandiose garden that has become their life. How exciting is that?
