If they are optimistic and generally positive, their chances are increased – morale is almost as critical as your survival tools because low morale leads to depression and that can lead to fatalism, which can be deadly.

Your state of mind determines far more than just how you feel about your situation. This amazing man is testimony to the importance of having a positive attitude – no matter your situation.

At 93, he homesteads in the wilderness, about five miles from the nearest road.
