The Truth as to Why a Second American Civil War May Be Inevitable

SHTF riot

Are we overstating the concept of an internal war in the USA? Honestly, we hope so but the signs are here. Just read about the signs below to see for yourself.

Honestly, I think we’re in the early stages of a second civil war. I can’t say what it’ll look like precisely, but I can tell you that our nation is on this path, and it’s not clear how we can get off of it. In fact, I fear that it may be inevitable, and there’s a very simple reason why.
It’s because Americans have been self-sorting themselves along geographic and political lines for a long time. A book titled “The Big Sort” made light of this trend back in 2008.
Basically what’s going on, is that Americans are moving to communities that align more with their politics. Liberals are moving to liberal areas, and conservatives are moving to conservative communities. It’s been going on for decades. When Jimmy Carter was elected in 1976, 26.8% of Americans lived in landslide counties; that is counties where the president won or lost by 20% of the vote.
By 2004, 48.3% of the population lived in these counties. This trend continues to worsen. As Americans move to their preferred geographic bubbles, they face less exposure to opposing viewpoints, and their own opinions become more extreme. This trend is at the heart of why politics have become so polarizing in America.
We’re also seeing the same trend emerge online with social media. Despite the fact that the internet allows us to be exposed to more opinions that ever before, people choose to follow online voices that they already agree with. They’re slipping into digital bubbles that are comparable to their geographic bubbles.
This trend is irreversible as far as I can tell. That’s because it’s tied to innovation. As our country became more interconnected with roads and Americans gained more mobility, we chose to move to like-minded places. We’re given the internet, the greatest source of information in human history, and we use it to seek out only the information that reinforces our current beliefs.
We’re self-sorting at every level. Because of this, Americans are only going to grow more extreme in their beliefs, and see people on the other side of the political spectrum as more alien.

Go to SHTF Plan to read further on this topic, to see why our current situation is creating the perfect breeding ground for a real, physical civil war. We are all human beings with thoughts, fears, desires and attitudes. It is when our ideals become skewed, when we do not look at the big picture, that potential conflict looms close.

And where there is war, with all the devices made to determine winners and loser, we all need to prepare for the SHTF! In other words, more now than ever before train, prepare, and coexist. The next few years will be very telling!

Come on with it. Since our side has 80% of the firearms and ammo. Ex military current military law enforcement and most other first responders. I’m pretty sure the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

Wanting to kill fellow Americans for having different ideology about politics is frightening…. I really don’t care for socially conservative people and the thought of taking my arms out against them hasn’t crossed my mind.

War has casualties. Death or deportation, makes no difference to me. If those mentioned are my enemies in war, of course they should be deep sixed.

None of that is genocide. Get your terms straight.

Genocide – the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.

Rick Plocharczyk most the Republicans I know are thin blue line boot licking copsuckers who would hand their guns over to the first guy with a badge that shows up on their doorstep. Because ever since the cold war its been like they had patriotism chips put in their brain and they support authority without question. Most Democrats I know are too stupid to know anything about guns and have no common sense at all but just blindly follow their party leaders. The only chance for a revolution is if the libertarians, ancaps, anarchists, tea party, and other small groups decide to$#%&!@*s**t up but their percentage is too small to truly matter.
And Thomas yes I know but my point is in times if civil war you can usually assume both sides stand a chance. But even if 20 million people stood up today and said they couldn’t take it anymore. Theyd be no math for the other 280 million civilians or our military.

Tensions have been building for a long time. Every slight, every misstep has added to the tension. When it will happen is just about the only question that matters in this regard. Where, why, and how are just things to watch out for.

Will it be regional? Will it be racial? People vs. Government? What exactly would we be fighting for? Fighting for the sake of fighting?

Part of the problem is that the media helps to polarize every situation. Every situation that needs the educated individuals for that situation are being called in to work out after the media had started to over dramatically report it and find the extremists on either side to debate it on live tv.

  17. Nathan Paul said:

Just have to leave them behind, the stupid people that is. Maybe let em have some space and they can go back to life before vaccines, goods made around the world, lose the math and any developments science and medicine the Muslim nations gave rise too.

You know someplace they want so badly they would parade hate as a social cause. People tried that several times before, see this is the problem with people today, people like Justin Bradburn never learned$#%&!@*from our past. Fascists lose.
