In almost every setting, survival means having a certain set of skills and the tools needed to accomplish a variety of tasks.

Sure it's nice to have access to a variety of tools, but the reality is you will only be able to use a select few tools when SHTF.

Depending on what you have stored for when the grid goes down, the one item you need to have is a sharp, sturdy, and reliable survival knife.

Besides that, your environment will dictate what you use most and what's most efficient.

What you will need in Maine, for example, will be very different than what you will need in Arizona. Depending on the environment, your tool set could drastically change.

To see one YouTuber's influential opinion about what five tools you should include in your arsenal of tools, check out the video and the five tools you need to include at a minimum after the break.
