There are some things we do not think about when it comes to prepping because they are so simple, so typical, we probably don’t consider them items that will suddenly disappear should the grid go down.

Or maybe we don’t just think about them until they’re gone.

Those are the items you need to go to the big store for, to stockpile those items you are going to miss most. They are the items that everyone else in your town are going to want and will clear the shelves of the local grocery store should a disaster hit.
