[VIDEO] Starting A Fire Without Matches Or A Lighter In Survival

In the best of circumstances, if you find yourself in a survival situation away from home, you have a survival kit that has all the tools you need to make it through.

Among those tools are numerous ways to start a fire.

If you do not have more traditional ways of starting a fire – waterproof matches, a lighter, fire stick, etc., you do have options.

One of those options is to use steel wool and a 9-volt battery – the battery ignites the steel wool, which can then be used as tinder.

In fact, this method is so easy and reliable that every survivalist should consider having a stock of steel wool and a couple of fresh 9-volt batteries in their bug out bag or survival kit.

The video on the next page shows how to start a fire using this awesome hack.

You go somewhere that you might need to start a fire in order to survive but you don’t bring a lighter or matches. However, you DO bring a 9-volt battery and some steel wool?
