Among those tools are numerous ways to start a fire.
If you do not have more traditional ways of starting a fire – waterproof matches, a lighter, fire stick, etc., you do have options.
One of those options is to use steel wool and a 9-volt battery – the battery ignites the steel wool, which can then be used as tinder.
In fact, this method is so easy and reliable that every survivalist should consider having a stock of steel wool and a couple of fresh 9-volt batteries in their bug out bag or survival kit.
The video on the next page shows how to start a fire using this awesome hack.
