Safely Storing Gas Long-Term During SHTF

For a very long time, we have depended on fuel of every kind to keep our world functioning as well as possible.

We utilize wood to warm our homes, cook food, and melt metals. We also use gasoline and diesel to run our cars and generators, not to mention kerosene and propane for just about everything else.

So what happens when all hell breaks loose, and we can no longer get ahold of the fuels we need to keep the mechanics running smoothly? Will we still be able to cook? And what about driving a vehicle away from the craziness and getting on with life (or lack thereof) while the storm attempts to blow over?
