Prepper BS to Stop Believing in Right Away… Before it’s too Late

prepper-with-gas-mask-and-supplies

When the day comes to use all of your prepping skills, you will most definitely have a foot up on those who did not prepare. That goes without saying. Yet, you may also be completely floored by the things witnessed during this time.

As a matter of fact, some of you may have journals, diary future generations can look back upon, and one of the key entries will probably say something like: “We had no idea. It did not happen quite like we thought it would…”

Quite simply, there is a lot of B.S. out there about how things will unfold once the SHTF, some advice was given by “experts,” and a lot of it is nonsense.

Our outlook has been skewed by the entertainment media, showing deep dark futures of lone gunmen, gnarled beasts, and our world losing all of its humanity. Don’t believe everything you read and watch on your TV.

To give you a better idea of what to expect, go over to the next page and read up on a more down to Earth view of what will happen once the grid goes down.

While there will be cause to worry you may be surprised by how steadfast the outlook will eventually become!

I dont believe in any shtf scenerio no one wil know what causes it and how it will play. Most preppers are going about it all wrong. Stockpiling all this survival stuff is useless and a waste of money. A real prepper needs very little. A real preppers can survive a life time and what he can can carry In a backpack and the three or four strategically hidden lifelines put into place pre shtf. The people who will survive are those that are self sufficient. Know how to use the wilderness the rivers and the ignorance of others to survive.

interesting reading. food for thought i guess. just my opinion but yes i can survive in the woods for years. foraging for food is not hard, plenty of books on the subject. my favorite being how to eat your lawn. been eating my lawn for a couple years…mushrooms are always the big question.

This reads like someone who thinks prepping is a total waste of time and energy because the government will take care of them !

Opinions on how the prep are as numerous as preppers. My view, any method or amount of prepping is better than none. Prep for world war z and you will have covered just about any scenario one could realistically survive. The rest, well we’re dead anyway, who cares?

An interesting article. I think the headlines misrepresent the article.
The author is not really saying it’s all BS, he’s saying you need to be realistic about your own abilities and resources and in the case of government or societal collapse you need to be practical and logical or you won’t make it.
Actually pretty good advice that I, for one, have already been thinking about for some time.

When things come to an end…it is everyman for himself….every family for themselves… this is not selfishness but survival. The good neighbor is good when everything is fine but when things really go from bad to worse… the badside of mankind will show…when they know you have something they like to have a share of it…

I once told someone that I was going to travel my$#%&!@*off when I retired! He asked me if I traveled now. I said yes, I did. He said good for me. I asked him why he would ask me that question? His reply nailed it for me. He said, AS YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE, SO SHALL YOU LIVE YOUR RETIREMENT! If you do not travel in your working years, why would you change when you retire? How about living in the wild? Do you from time to time go into the woods with only your wits and a tube of crackers and a knife? What makes you think that you can survive if you never tried it in reality for an extended period of time? Are you physically able? Really able? Are you hampered by a wife or someone you are responsible for but does not share your enthusiasm or knowledge? What I have suggested are not absolutes by any means but must be addressed. I know it is trite, but, I must say, do not bite off more than you can chew! Evaluate your abilities, your motives and take a long look at the reality of what you are attempting to do. By far, the best plan for most people is to find a small village, buy a plot of land and become friends with those who think like you. Even then, know that there is no guarantee you will survive. Be aware also, that not having a WELL OILED PLAN, WILL CERTAINLY GUARENTEE FAILURE!

Not to argue, but have you ever attempted go survive in the woods for any length of time?
