Storm glasses is a type of weather forecasting device. It consists of a sealed glass container, potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride, distilled water, ethanol and natural camphor sealed in a glass container.
While its forecasting ability is questioned, many people swear by it.The concept is that how the liquid appears, affected by environmental factors, is a predictive agent for upcoming weather.
As I said, like divining devices, many do not think this is an accurate weather forecaster, but those who believe in it, swear by it.
In a survival situation, if you can find these chemicals and seal the container, it is better than merely looking at the sky and hoping for the best.
